Here at Redlands Psychologists we recognise that parenting a child on the Spectrum brings its own set of unique strengths and challenges, particular in the current times.  In order to provide support to parents we are now offering an online parenting group for Parents of Children on the Spectrum.

Parenting a child on the Spectrum

This group will incorporate a combination of psychoeducation and practical strategies for parents to use in the home environment as well as a space for parents to share their experiences, challenges and successes.  Come have a virtual chat over a cup of tea of coffee!  At present we are calling for expressions of interest for those who may want to attend this group, and are asking potential participants to select a time that would best suit them.  We will then run the group at the time that has the most interest.  Please copy and paste the below URL into your web browser to view and nominate a time.

We are hopeful that we will be able to launch the group within the next week, as the Government has announced nation wide access to Telehealth.  Any individuals with a MHCP will be able to access up to 10 group sessions bulk billed according to the new Telehealth announced yesterday.  For those wishing to access groups under NDIS funding please do not hesitate to contact our Admin team to discuss pricing.  I am very conscious that in this time, clients are not having access to as many social outings as previous and we want to ensure that we are facilitating social engagement as this is key in maintaining mental wellbeing.

Should the group go ahead, we are asking that all participants have access to a confidential space and will be launching the group via Zoom (an online video conferencing platform).  If you could please complete the expression of interest and nominate your preferred time prior to Friday 3rd of April this will allow us to get the group up and running as soon as possible.
