Preparing Kids for Prep and Kindy
When: Starting on 2nd February 2019 for 3 weeks

This is a play-based group focused on building social skills and confidence with peers. As kids start to search for independence and achievement, they can become frustrated when they aren’t able to achieve what they had hoped. This can lead to them becoming aggressive or overly assertive to others, which impacts on the development of healthy relationships with peers.
Teen Girls and Confidence for 12 & 13 year olds
When: Starting on 9th March 2019 for 5 weeks
Time: 11 - 12 pm

This is an activity based group centred on helping young teen girls develop a healthy view of themself through increasing self confidence, embracing unique differences and managing outside influences such as social media.
Positive Play for Boys for 7, 8 & 9 years olds
When: Starting on Tuesday 14th May 2019 for 5 weeks
Time: 4 - 5 pm

This is an activities-based group focused on building appropriate social and interaction skills and confidence with peers. This course involves co-operative activities set around a different theme each week. A project will be set and worked on throughout the course with the boys. Strategies implemented include engaging in fair behaviour and treatment of others, especially in play and social interactions.
Teen Girls and Confidence for 14, 15 & 16 year olds
When: Starting on Saturday 18th May 2019 for 5 weeks
Time: 11 - 12 pm

Finding a self-identity is a common source of anxiety for teenage girls. Pressure from peers, school, online and society increase this anxiety.
During this group, girls will be supported to learn skills to establish a sense of who they are. They will also learn skills to manage the pressures of outside influences such as social media.
Friendship and Anxiety for Girls in Grades 4, 5 & 6
When: Starting on Saturday 20th July 2019 for 4 weeks
Time: 11 - 12 pm

This is an activity-based group which helps girls to feel that their differences are shared by others who have the same fears, thus helping them increase their own confidence and to embrace their individual differences. Techniques to assist the girls manage anxiety will also be implemented.

This is an activity based group focused on helping girls build social skills and confidence with their peers. Conflict management, making confident choices and developing key skills to help grow strong, healthy friendships are central to this group.
The girls will learn how to value themselves and how to have a confident voice with peers, without becoming overly assertive or passive.
